What are clothing expenses?

Clothing expenses are expenses that are considered as a result of loss or damage to clothing worn at the time of the act of violence.

 

How to apply for financial assistance for clothing expenses

Applicants seeking financial assistance for clothing expenses will need to lodge an Application online or file an Application for Assistance form with the Tribunal.

 

Documentation required in support of a claim for clothing expenses

The following documentation should be filed in support of claims for clothing expenses: 

  • receipts, invoices or quotes for the cost of replacing the clothing; and/or
  • a statutory declaration detailing the cost of the clothing lost or damaged (value of replacement clothing must be equivalent to the value of damaged clothes).
